LAURA
Yorkshire Yoga Warrior is run by Laura, she began her Yoga journey following injury from her first marathon. She decided to deepen her practise by becoming a qualified yoga teacher and completed the Yoga Alliance Teacher Training 200 hours course in Puerto Rico, where she specialised in Power Yoga.
Following her training Laura opened a community Yoga space in a housing estate in Brixton, South London. The aim was for residents and local neighbours of the estate to come together in a welcoming space to practice yoga.
Laura has taught in a dance studio in Brixton, for a triathlon club in Leeds as well as one to one sessions. She has completed various training and yoga courses in London, India and Morocco that has led her to a unique and passionate style of yoga teaching, which is a balance between strength, flexibility, fun and mindfulness with a firm nod to her love of sports.
Laura is currently training for her fifth marathon and for her first Ironman, she is a keen surfer, artist and these themes run through her yoga classes.
