Emma Kerfoot
Emma is a qualified Occupational Therapist who has worked within the NHS for over 15 years. Occupational Therapists are concerned with all areas of your life and look at improving independence and quality of life where there may be a limitation, be it of a mental or physical nature. During her career, Emma has developed her interest and skills in using mindfulness and relaxation to help with various symptoms including: anxiety, stress, breathing difficulties sleep problems, fatigue, pain and others.
Alongside her work within the NHS, Emma works as an independent Occupational Therapist through her company “Yorkshire Relaxation” where her aim is to provide people with the skills to manage the everyday pressures that we all experience, and prevent further complications from developing. Emma works on a one to one basis or within groups and can introduce you to a variety of relaxation and mindfulness techniques depending on your needs.
Emma is also available to advise regarding equipment needs if there is a physical limitation following injury or illness. For example, bathing, transfers, safety/fall prevention etc.
